Racing was first recorded 330 years ago in Exeter in the reign of Charles II at this splendid site on top of the Haldon Hills which, with its far-reaching views, is one of the most attractive courses in the land. The landscape is breathtaking and the views of the jumping action on-course, and the countryside beyond, are superb. Exeter is a wonderful course to visit and well worth the trip. Gold Cup Day is during early November, the Devon Marathon takes place in early December with the New Year's Day meeting, on 1 January.
