Ayr is Scotland's only Grade One racecourse, situated near the Ayrshire coastline in the heart of Robert Burns country. It's an extremely friendly track, renowned for its warm welcome and first class range of on-course facilities. Ayr plays host to a number of top class meetings, including Scotland's most prestigious jump race - the Gala Group Casinos Daily Record Scottish Grand National - which takes place in April, as well as the Daily Record Scottish Derby in July and the popular three day Western meeting in September, which features the ultra-competitive sprint handicap the Tote Ayr Gold Cup. - The Scottish Grand National - Saturday April 17

How to get to Ayr: By Car: From Glasgow take the M8 then the A77. From the South, A74, A70, A713 onto A77 into Ayr. The course is just outside Ayr and easily accessible via the dual carriageway. By Train: Lines from London Euston. Ayr Station is a mile from the course. There are buses from the station. HospitalityAyr boasts a comprehensive range of on-course facilities, from a full tented village to the Western House catering for parties of 60 to 200, to the Eglinton Rooms which hold up to 400 guests. The Princess Royal Stand offers 12 private boxes for groups of up to 20 and two large sponsor's rooms for up to 80 people. At larger meetings, private chalet marquee accommodation is available, catering for parties of 12 to 1000. The Craigie Stand, which looks directly over the racecourse with an elevated view, has 12 private suites varying in size and can offer hospitality for parties of 12 to 60 people.
